Louisiana State Criminal Investigator charged with falsifying documents in two parishes and a hit-and-run.

Lt. Chad Lacoste, a criminal investigator and 19-year veteran of the Louisiana State Police Department failed to stop at a hit-and-run crash in St. Tammany Parish and then falsified documents when he reported having been in a hit-and-run crash in Orleans Parish. Both Orleans and St. Tammany Parish charged Lacoste with malfeasance in office. In Orleans Parish, Lacoste is also charged with “injuring public records”. He received a summons for careless operation and hit-and-run in St. Tammany Parish.
