Scripture from Deuteronomy 32 caught my attention. We do not know or have power over death but God does know. Job Chapter 14 says that people are born into trouble and “We cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not”.
The chapter reads to say that God knows when he creates us what our purpose is and how much time we have to do it. Job 14:5 says, “Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;”.
The chapter speaks about a person’s destiny, life, and death. We are born into trouble and sometimes it does not matter how hard we try to make something happen, the inevitable happens anyway as if it is meant to be.
Sometimes God will allow us to intervene and sometimes He has another plan. We can be encouraged by knowing that God is in control and that His will will be done in the end. God has a way of turning bad things around to make good things happen. We just have to have faith that God is in control and stay close to Him in prayer to see it.
This was a question the great psychotherapist and father of CBT Albert Ellis attempted to answer decades ago. In answering it, he acquired a critical insight. He had been exploring how best to assist patients increase their self esteem with conditions such as depression. This led him to analyse what the term meant , and […]
The next hearing over Britney Spears’s conservatorship happens on November 12, 2021 and the conservatorship should be terminated that day. Right now Britney is enjoying her life with her fiancé, Sam Asghari in the tropics.
I hate getting into the he said she said but that is what is happening and that is what keeps the courts in business, and this case is about millions of dollars so it should keep the courts happy to be involved for a while. It’s going to be interesting to follow and see how things turn out.
Despite my belief that talking about people is just wrong, I’m going to say it just to show how the courts use the he said she said to get the money, and we can bet that the lawyers are making fortunes.
Word has it that Jamie Spears, Britney’s father is in serious trouble over misconduct concerning the conservatorship. Jamie insisted he’s always had the Britney’s best interests at heart. Britney says that her dad used the conservatorship to make her work, take medication, and even undergo unwanted mental health treatments. Now, they are arguing that Britney was under surveillance that she didn’t know about. I tend to think that that is going to be a hard one to prove because she has to know that she is always being watched.
The family of an inmate that died, Hailey Povisil who was incarcerated for failure to appear, in Luzerne County Correctional Facility filed a lawsuit claiming an officer told her to kill herself just eight hours before she was found hanging in her cell. She was the fourth inmate to die in the facility in 2018.
Attorney Barry H. Dyller, of the Wilkes-Barre law firm Dyller & Solomon, and the administrators of Hailey’s estate, Sarah Schiavone and Mickayla Meredick filed a lawsuit against Luzerne County in September claiming years of misconduct. The lawsuit names Luzerne County Correctional Facility, Correct Care Solutions, and Wellpath as defendents that are are supposed to provide medical services in the facility.
“Upon information and belief, given the multiple female LCCF inmates who committed suicide in 2017 and 2018, LCCF either did not implement recommendations by the suicide prevention consultant, or over time became lax in anti-suicide training and protocols.”
The prison has not provided suicide prevention training since 2003, and prison officials refused require officers to train in 2016 because officers “were not receptive to training”. The lawsuit states, “Luzerne County thus made a deliberate choice not to waste money on a comprehensive suicide prevention guide and training program because LCCF’s officers do not like training”.
Family members say that Hailey was a heroin addict and that she was suffering from withdrawal symptoms such as vomiting and other horrific symptoms of heroin misuse along with other symptoms and comorbidities. She was also diagnosed with anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression.
“CCS’s and Luzerne County’s records reveal that they knew that Ms. Povisil had been hospitalized for her mental illnesses at least five times in the previous six to seven years. Those same records reveal that they knew that Ms. Povisil had been contemplating suicide less than a year prior to her Jan. 6, 2018, incarceration.”
Hailey was placed on suicide watch when she was first incarcerated, which means that she was held in solitary confinement which everyone knows makes all mental disorders even worse and even creates mental disabilities where there were none before. The lawsuit claims that Hailey was begging for help and that no one from the facility would help her.
It is unclear how long officers held Hailey in uninhabitable conditions before allowing her out of the isolated cell. The lawsuit states that she killed herself within eight hours of getting out of solitary confinement. (Bless her heart, if only she had been treated like a human being and offered treatment)
“Upon information and belief, Luzerne County correctional officer defendant … chose not to help Ms. Povisil, and not to contact a medical or psychiatric professional to help Ms. Povisil. Instead, a corrections officer responded to Ms. Povisil by stating, ‘F— you b—, go ahead and kill yourself.'”
Pray…The Lord’s Prayer works well…it’s okay to emphasize the forgiveness part. We have to forgive our enemies and those that do us wrong so that the devils can’t get in the door to fill our hearts and minds with hate and anger. Give it to God and He will have His vengeance. It is also okay to emphasize the “deliver us from Evil” part because God does promise to do that when we put him first and keep our eyes on Him. Just turn to prayer and have faith that God is in control. Relax. Turn to your Bible and read.
The Associated Press reports that Brett Blomme, Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s juvenile judge pled guilty to two counts of distributing child pornography. He looking at possibly facing five years and will be sentenced in December.
Milwaukee is the #2 hotspot of human trafficking in the entire world so these charges are especially concerning because Brett Blomme had power over America’s most vulnerable children that passed through his courtroom. Those that are interested can check out a 2016 report, “A Crime in Plain Sight” and other City Reports from Milwaukee to find out just how bad the problem really is.
Between October and November, the Department of Justice found that Blomme had uploaded child pornography through the Kik messaging application 27 times. He faces 7 counts of possession of child porn but will likely reach a “federal plea deal to resolve all state and federal charges for “any known criminal conduct”.

He said, “I am the progressive alternative”. Shortly after he won the election special agents from Wisconsin’s Division of Criminal Investigation determined that he was using the name “dommasterbb” to upload videos and images containing child pornography.
DCI requested a warrant saying that 27 videos and images of children being sexually abused were uploaded and that at least two files were uploaded to a Milwaukee County government building. A Milwaukee County reserve judge signed the search warrant.

A British police officer pretended to arrest a woman for violating covid restriction rules, kidnapped a woman that was “just walking home” from a friend’s house, then raped and killed her. Wayne Couzens, with the elite diplomatic protection unit of London’s Metropolitan Police, admitted kidnapping, raping, and killing Sarah Everard in July. Her strangled remains were found a week later in a wooded area.
Tom Little, the prosecutor says, ”Security camera footage showed Couzens targeted the 33-year-old marketing executive on March 3, after finishing a shift at the US embassy. Couzens, who was off-duty, but wearing his police belt, kidnapped Everard in a “false arrest”, by “handcuffing her and showing his warrant card”. Witnesses said they assumed an undercover police officer was making an arrest.
Sarah’s mother Susan said her daughter “lost her life because Couzens wanted to satisfy his perverted desires. It is a ridiculous reason. I am outraged that he masqueraded as a policeman in order to get what he wanted”.
Sarah’s father Jeremy, asked his daughter’s killer to look at him and then stated, ” No punishment that you receive will ever compare to the pain and torture that you have inflicted on us.”
Metropolitan Police felt betrayed and said they were “sickened, angered and devastated by this man’s crimes, which betray everything we stand for”.
Protestors set off smoke flares and held banners that said, “Met Police Blood On Your Hands”.
“Victims were promised jobs in exchange for sexual relations or in order to keep their jobs…29 of the more than 80 women became pregnant and some were forced abort their babies.”, said commission member Malick Coulibaly.
Jolianne, a 14 year old girl, said she “was selling phone recharge cards on the side of the road when a WHO driver offered her a ride home. Instead he took her to a hotel where she says he raped her. She later gave birth to his child”.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation and The New Humanitarian found that supervisors at the W.H.O. and the U.N. forced women to have sex in order to keep their jobs during the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over 50 women accused aid workers from the WHO and other charities of demanding sex. Some women lost their jobs because they refused sex with their supervisors.
Both national and international staff are accused of nine allegations of rape. 21 of 83 perpetrators were employed by the WHO and have been banned from future WHO employment. Four contractors have been terminated.
“Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus who will be seeking a second term at the United Nations health body, said the report made “harrowing reading” and apologized to the victims. What happened to you should never happen to anyone. It is inexcusable. It is my top priority to ensure that the perpetrators are not excused but are held to account,” he said, promising further steps.”
A malware alert on a company computer led IT to report an Eagle River man with four adopted foster children to the FBI. Now he is facing child pornography charges. Agents arrested John Daniel Brooks, 51.
State records show Brooks is an analyst-programmer for the Department of Environmental Conservation, and a registered foster parent with whom the state Office of Children’s Services had placed four children, ages 1 to 13.
Brooks and his wife had officially adopted the children just one day earlier. Casey Grove, from Alaska Public Media in Anchorage says, “Agents searched Brooks’ home and devices and found hundreds of digital images of child pornography hidden in various computer folders, and when they asked him, Brooks said he was sexually attracted to children. He admitted that he had agreed to become an assistant with one of his daughter’s scouting group, in part because of his attraction to children, according to the charges”.
Brooks has worked for the Department of Environmental Conservation since 2010, and he was placed on unpaid leave this week, so taxpayers are still paying him. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is asking anyone with further information about Brooks’ activities to call the FBI at (907) 276-4441.
