Ammon Bundy was arrested last year on a trespassing charge for protesting Idaho’s removal of a 10-month-old baby, Baby Cyrus, at Saint Luke’s Medical Center in Meridian. Baby Cyrus was having difficulty adjusting to new baby food when the hospital refused to let the mother breastfeed. Bundy was running for governor at the time his friend, Diego Rodriguez’s grandson was medically kidnapped at the hospital. He argued that the baby was not in danger and that the hospital should return the child to his family. A week later the hospital did return Baby Cyrus to his parents, Levi Anderson and Marissa Anderson.
Other protestors, friends, and family of Cyrus, were also arrested on suspicion of trespassing at the hospital and on suspicion of resisting or obstructing police. Lawyers from the family were kicked out of the hospital.
Because of the pressure from the hospital and state, protests were canceled and even though Idaho had returned the baby, Idaho CPS had unlimited access to intrude on the family at any time in their home and at visits with the doctors.
Now, because Ammon Bundy refuses to comply with orders to shut up about the state’s overreach and the removal of Baby Cyrus, sheriff’s deputies are looking to arrest Ammon Bundy once again. This time for refusing to comply with court orders in an Idaho defamation lawsuit.
