The girlfriend of Tommy’s NYPD dad, Angela Pollina was sentenced to a max of 25 years to life in the murder of 8-year-old Thomas Valva. Judge Timothy Mazzei stated, ”My only regret, Ms. Pollina, is they don’t have a garage there, with no heat, and no mattress, and no blankets and no pillows”.

Eight-year-old Thomas Valva froze to death after child protection services placed him with an evil police officer and his girlfriend that tortured him until he finally died. Michael Valva, Thomas’ father, and his girlfriend Angela Pollina were accused of locking 8-year-old Thomas Valva in their New York garage to suffer until he died in January of 2020. It was a harsh winter for everyone, and especially for Tommy because was forced to eat hot peppers, and sleep in temperatures below freezing. Tommy was not allowed to go inside and eat healthy food like other children do. He didn’t get to cozy up in the house with a loving family. He suffered for years before God finally took him home.

Michael Valva was an NYPD and he and Angela Pollina are charged with second-degree murder. Klasfeld’s report in Law and Crime says that the judge advanced Justyna Zubko-Valva’s lawsuit against child protection services because they could have intervened. “While the barbaric acts of Mr. Valva and Ms. Pollina are directly responsible for Tommy’s death, there is an institutional actor that is almost as culpable,” Judge Korman continued. Defendants associated with Child Protective Services, who face allegations of deliberate indifference include The school district, various attorneys accused of malpractice.

Thomas Valva’s mother is suing child protective services and the school district. 

Thomas had a brother, Anthony was abused too. Child Protective Services only stepped in to get him out of that nightmare because they had to when Tommy was dead. “The boy’s mother claims that she presented the school with more than two years’ worth of evidence before her son’s death of the father’s alleged abuse, including audio recordings, photographic evidence, and medical evidence” reports Klasfeld.
