The girl in the basement became a doctor. Angela Loucks’ dad and stepmother kept her in the basement for years until finally, some high school students found a way to rescue her. Her foster mother later reunited her with her biological mother who had wanted her the whole time. Now Angela is a doctor and she wants everyone to know that there is hope. She specializes in auditory processing disorder (APD) and says that people that suffer from it are often unaware that they even have it and that once they receive treatment, many will no longer feel isolated and disconnected.
