Steven Hoffenberg, Jeffrey Epstein’s mentor was found dead. The 77-year-old child sex trafficker was found by the Derby Police Department around 8 pm. The officers said that the body was unidentifiable because it was decomposing.
Hoffenberg worked with Jeffery Epstein since the 1980s and went to prison for 18 years for running a Ponzi scheme after Towers Financial was exposed as one of the largest financial frauds in the modern era. Jeffrey Epstein was named in the scheme as well, but prosecutors never charged him. While Hoffenberg was in prison, Epstein was accused of grooming and abusing young women in a sex trafficking scheme that Epstein ran along with Ghislaine Maxwell.
Jeffrey Epstein died jail awaiting trial in 2019. Ghislaine Maxwell was recently sentenced to 20 years for her part in recruiting young girls to be sex trafficked. Derby Police were contacted by Maria Farmer, who requested a welfare check on Hoffenberg. Maria is a survivor of sexual abuse at the hands of Epstein and was in regular contact with Steven Hoffenberg. Maria tells media outlets that Hoffenberg was “a kind gentleman who assisted survivors of those who suffered at the hands of Epstein without making any demands in return”.
