Marvel’s Zara Phythian was sentenced to 8 years while her husband was sentenced to 14 years after being found guilty of abusing a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old.
Judge Mark Watson of the Nottingham Crown Court said that Marke was the “driving force behind the abuse,” and when she addressed Phythian she stated, “Whilst you denied in cross-examination that you were besotted with Victor Marke, on the evidence I have heard I am in no doubt that your deviance was shaped by the influence that he had upon you from an early age”.
The 13-year-old said that she was “an easy target for the couple,” and that they “robbed me of my innocence, corrupted me, leaving me unable to create good and balanced relationships”. The abuse continued until she was 18.
Zara Phythian is known for Accident Man 2 (2022), Tribal Get Out Alive (2020) and Doctor Strange (2016). She has been married to Victor Marke since 2015.
Along with husband, Victor Marke, she was convicted of 14 child sex offenses in May 2022. Both were found guilty of sexually abusing a 13 year old girl while working as martial arts instructors in the UK between 2005 and 2008.
Original story appeared in Bang Showbiz, “Doctor Strange star Zara Phythian and husband jailed for child sex offences”.
