
Vickie White, the Alabama jailer that helped an inmate escape was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Indiana.
She spent 10 days on the run with a capital murder suspect, Casey Cole White. After authorities located them they were chased until the vehicle crashed and rolled over.
Vicky White shot herself as authorities approached, and Casey White was taken into custody. Vicky White had been a longtime employee of the department and was expected to retire the day of the escape. She was transporting Casey White for a mental health evaluation.
