A former Rocky Mount, Virginia police officer, Thomas Robertson was convicted by a jury. His codefendant, Jacob Fracker took a plea deal and testified for federal prosecutors. Thomas Robertson was found guilty on all six charges stemming from his activities on January 6th. His conviction came about after Jacob Fracker, his fellow officer and codefendant took a plea deal and testified for federal prosecutors stating that they “hoped to overturn the results of the election”.
Robertson’s charges included obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, and entering a restricted building while carrying a large wooden stick (dangerous weapon).
Fracker told NBC that Robertson was a “father figure” and, “I felt like we had maybe been heard by whoever it was we needed to be heard by”.
Minding Hearts is building advocacy and peer support groups in each state. The groups are created to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for those that might not otherwise be heard. We are here for encouragement, education, and support. We cannot give legal advice, but we can try and direct you in the right direction with your case. Links to legal services are listed with their states. Please share and let’s grow our groups. We are here to support families and develop resources that maintain family integrity. We look forward to your support. If you would rather become active by donating, then visit the donation page.
